Student Testing
The question arises – Why carry out educational testing?
There are a number of positive reasons why our gifted students should do these tests. They measure
- student potential to achieve within the school system and also within certain areas
- verbal and non verbal reasoning
- ability to acquire knowledge
- ability to focus and retain information
- ability to adapt to new environments
- ability to manipulate information held in working memory
All of the above will help us to further understand our gifted students learning needs and abilities. We can therefore provide a suitable level and pace of curriculum for these students and anything else to continue to engage our gifted students and meet their individual learning needs.
