Marist Solidarity

SolidarityMISSION STATEMENT

Marist Solidarity is a group of students who will promote understanding, education, advocacy and action on social justice, peace and human rights issues.

Marist Solidarity provides a credible voice on these
matters within our Marist College community,
with a desire to make a difference advocating
change for a more just society.

The Marist Solidarity Group is welcoming and generous,
giving up their own time in order to assist others,
they believe in equality and respect amongst all members of the group.

In the midst of conflict and division, we know it is you
Who turns our minds to thoughts of peace.
Your spirit changes our hearts:
Enemies begin to speak to one another,
Those who were estranged join hands in friendship,
And nations seek the way of peace together.
Let your spirit be at work in us.
Give us understanding and put an end to strife,
Fill us with mercy and overcome our denial,
Grant us wisdom and teach us to learn from the peoples of all lands.
