Junior Studies: Year 7-10

Year 7

Year 7 - (Stage 4)

In Year 7 boys study: Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, PDHPE, Art, Music, Design and Technology, Italian, History and Geography.

Year 8 - (Stage 4)

In Year 8 boys continue the same general course of study that was begun in Year 7:  Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, PDHPE, Art, Music, Design and Technology, Italian, History and Geography.

Years 9 and 10 (Stage 5)

The curriculum changes a little as boys enter Year 9. Some of the compulsory subjects drop away and boys may select two subjects to study for Years 9 and 10 as 'electives'.In addition there is a choice of Mathemtics course - either Intermediate or Advanced Mathematics.

Compulsory Subjects

 are: Religious Education, English, Mathematics (Advanced or Intermediate), Science, PDHPE, History and Geography. History and Geography are not studied at the same time - they rotate semester by semester.

Elective Subjects

are : Art, Photographic & Digital Media,Music, Drama from the Creative Arts; Commerce from HSIE; Graphics Technology, Design & Technology, and Information & Software Technology from TAS; Italian; Elective History and Elective PDHPE.

School Certificate Assessment

Study in Years 7 to 10 leads to the School Certificate Examinations, which conclude the period of compulsory schooling. In November each year all NSW Year 10 students sit for their School Certificate. Exams are held in: English, Mathematics, Science,  Australian History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship, and Computer Skills.
