Marist Rugby League Creates History

At the end of the regular season five MCC teams had qualified to play in the MCC semi-finals:  A-Grade, B-Grade and 15’s Rugby League as well as A-Grade and 13’s Soccer. Unfortunately, due to unexpected heavy rain, no semi finals were played which meant that the teams that finished 1st and 2nd went into the Grand Finals so our A and B Grade Rugby League teams qualified.  But once again the weather wasn’t kind and after much thought and discussion, and grounds impossible to get, it was decided that the Grand Finals would be cancelled and the team which finished the regular season in 1st Place would be declared the Premiers for 2007. Therefore it gives me great pleasure to announce that both the A-Grade and B-Grade MCC Rugby League Teams are Undefeated Premiers for 2007.  Congratulations to all boys and their coaches, Mr Pat Lowe (A Grade), and Mr Mark Gair (B Grade).
