NORTH SYDNEY BROTHERS JUNIOR RUGBY LEAGUE FOOTBALL CLUB
The College has a long and proud tradition of success in many sports. North Sydney Brothers Junior Rugby League is an affiliated sporting club offering weekend competitions in rugby league to all students.
The Club's history dates back to 1973 when a small group of parents identified a need to provide Rugby League for the young men attending Marist Brothers College. This resulted in the Brothers Club being formed headed by Ken Ritchie and we have proved to be one of the most successful Club's in the district over the years, winning numerous premierships.
The object of the Club is to manage, conduct, control and promote the game of Rugby League and to encourage players to advance themselves through the ranks, representative teams and grade level. 'Brothers' has established a reputation for giving their junior players as many opportunities as they can to make it to the highest level.
Our support of the code is across all age groups and genders. It is envisaged that with the strength of the Club's junior development, and the continuing commitment of the Club to rugby league, we will see many of our juniors excel and go on to play at representative level, and maintain the traditions that the Club is based on.
Ex Marist boys who have achieved such greatness include players Kevin Marr, Phil Ritchie, Steve Carew , Paul Conlon, Paul McCaffery & Chris Caruana just to name a few.
The Club relies on sponsorship and fund raising within the community to cover the running costs of the Club. Membership fees, and players registration are kept to a minimum to try and keep the sport accessible to all. Further details can be obtained from: http://www.nsbrothers.com.au/
