PUBLIC SPEAKING

To be able to speak confidently and effectively in public is a skill that many people use throughout life. For this reason it is viewed as a very valuable activity for the boys of Marist. There are three major annual competitions in which students are involved, and many other opportunities for individuals to develop and practice their public speaking skills.

The McCarthy Shield

An annual competition between Marist College North Shore and Monte Sant' Angelo College Mercy College. It is held in the early weeks of the first Term and acts as an introductory and preparatory process for the year's other major competitions.
