GUEST SPEAKER TO MARIST

The College had a guest speaker, Trent Southworth visit on the 25^th, 28^th and 29^th July to speak to students in Years 10-12. Trent has a wealth of experience in dealing with young people and speaking with them about their rights and responsibilities in relation to the law. He was in the Police Service for many years and worked for much of that time as a Police Liaison Officer. These days he spends time with school communities and other organisations, providing information and assistance to young people.

He will return to Marist later in the term to again work in small groups with Years 10-12. The bonus of his next visit is that he will speak to parents at the Parents in Touch Meeting on Tuesday 26^th August at 7:30pm. This is a unique opportunity for parents to engage with Trent and hear from him about the issues that he has been discussing with the boys. Looking forward to seeing you there.
